Family-run · Jersey City, NJ
Doing it right since 1998.
We started out detailing Jersey City’s cars and never lowered the bar. Now we repair them too.
Our story
From detail brush to paint booth.
Waxman of Tri-State began as a family detailing studio in Jersey City, obsessing over paint one panel at a time. That obsession outgrew the building — so we opened Waxman of Tristate Auto Body & Collision Center at 18-24 Bayview Ave, a full shop where the car that gets repaired is finished to the same standard as the car that gets detailed.
- Structural and body repair to factory spec
- Our own paint booth — color matched to the panel, not the code
- An insurance desk that writes supplements and deals with your carrier
- The same finish obsession the family built its name on
What we stand for
Three rules every job is checked against
We hire by them, train by them and inspect by them. If a repair fails one of these, it doesn't leave the shop.
Fix it like we own it
If a gap isn't even or a color doesn't flow across the panel, it goes back. Every car gets the repair we'd want on our own.
One accountable team
Estimator, painter, tech and front desk work under one roof. One name on the job, one number to call, no finger-pointing.
No surprise invoices
You approve the estimate before we start. If teardown reveals hidden damage, we call you and the carrier first — never after.
What we stand behind
No badges. Verifiable work instead.
We hold no manufacturer certification badges, and we would rather say so than decorate this page with logos. What we do have can be checked: our own paint booth, OEM parts, the factory repair procedure pulled for your VIN, documented scans before and after the repair, and a warranty in writing.
Inside the shop
Built for factory-spec repair.
A dedicated paint booth, full repair bays and a clean film-installation area — everything a repair needs happens under our roof, not a subcontractor's.
In the community
We show up for the neighborhood.
In August 2026 we set up a table at National Night Out in Jersey City — the city's annual community evening with the police department, local families and neighborhood businesses. Jersey City Mayor James Solomon stopped by ours.
It is the same reason the phone still gets answered at eight in the evening and the towing line at two in the morning. Greenville is where we work, and most of the cars in our bays belong to people who live within a few miles of them.
In Jersey City since 1998. Your car's next.
Send photos of the damage and hear back the same day. Towing, insurance and rental handled from one shop in Jersey City.
