Insurance claims & supplements

We speak adjuster.

We document every panel, write and negotiate the supplement, then bill your carrier directly — you pay your deductible and get your car back right.

The claim, step by step

From claim number to car keys.

You file the claim — we take it from there. Estimate, supplement, negotiation, billing: one shop, one point of contact.

File the claim

Call your carrier or use their app and get a claim number. That number is all we need to get moving.

Send us photos

4–8 shots of the damage from your phone. A real estimator reviews them and calls you back the same day.

We write & negotiate the supplement

Teardown finds what the adjuster's walk-around missed. We document it, price it and get it approved in writing.

Approved repair, direct billing

Factory-spec repair, then the bill goes straight to your carrier. You pay your deductible. That's it.

What's a supplement?

The first estimate is a starting point.

A supplement is the paperwork that gets hidden damage paid for. Adjusters usually write the first estimate from photos or a quick walk-around — before a single panel comes off the car. Teardown tells the real story.

  • First adjuster estimates commonly miss 20–40% of the real repair cost
  • Teardown reveals what photos can't: bent brackets, broken clips, crushed absorbers, damaged sensors
  • We photograph and document every finding — line by line, part by part
  • The supplement goes to your carrier with proof attached, and we do the negotiating, not you

Know your rights

In New Jersey, the shop choice is yours

Insurers may suggest their network shops. A suggestion is all it is — the law leaves the repair decision with you.

  • You may choose any licensed repair shop — your insurer cannot require you to use theirs
  • You can ask for OEM parts; we'll walk you through what's written on the estimate and what your policy allows
  • If your policy includes rental coverage, you're entitled to use it — we coordinate pickup and return around the repair
  • Your deductible is all you pay us; the rest is billed directly to your carrier

If a claims rep says you "have to" use their network shop, you don't. Bring us the estimate — and if it comes to that, we're happy to be on the call.

Carriers we work with daily

Insurance claim FAQ

The questions we hear on the phone every week — answered the way we'd answer a neighbor.

Do you bill my insurance company directly?
Yes. Once the repair is approved we bill your carrier directly. The only check you write us is your deductible — plus anything you added out of pocket, like PPF or wheel work.
What is a supplement?
A supplement is a documented request for the damage the first estimate missed. Adjusters usually write that first estimate from photos, before any parts come off the car. When teardown uncovers hidden damage — bent brackets, broken clips, damaged sensors — we photograph everything, write the supplement and negotiate it with your carrier. The carrier pays for that gap, not you.
Will my insurance rates go up?
Honest answer: it depends on fault, your policy and your carrier — not on which shop repairs the car. Choosing us has zero effect on your premium. For how a specific claim affects your rate, talk to your agent before you file.
Do you help with a rental car?
Yes. If your policy includes rental coverage, we coordinate the rental around the repair — picked up when your car arrives, returned when you get your keys back. Not sure you have the coverage? We'll check the claim paperwork with you.
How long will the repair take?
It depends on parts availability and how fast your carrier approves the work. Small hits are often done inside a week; repairs that need a supplement can run two to three. We give you a realistic timeline with the estimate and update you as the job moves — no chasing us for news.
What if the insurer totals the car?
If the repair cost gets close to the car's value, the carrier may declare it a total loss. That's a valuation decision, not ours — but our teardown documentation often matters, because it shows the true condition of the car. If you believe the payout is low, you can challenge the valuation; we'll share everything we documented to support you.
