Auto body & collision repair for West New York, NJ

On the cliff or by the river, about half an hour to our door.

The shop sits on Bayview Ave in the Greenville section of Jersey City, about eight miles south of West New York Town Hall. Bumper corners, curbed wheels and clipped mirrors — the damage tight blocks produce — are fixed here, with a written photo estimate first and the whole conversation in Spanish if you prefer.

Getting here from West New York

Two routes south, both about half an hour.

From Town Hall on 60th Street to our door on Bayview Ave, in the Greenville section of Jersey City, is about eight miles. Outside rush hour either route takes roughly half an hour, and the quicker one has a toll.

  • Kennedy Boulevard south, then the Turnpike Extension (I-78) to Exit 14B and down Garfield Avenue — one toll, often the quicker way
  • Down the hill to Tonnelle Avenue (US 1&9), then south — no tolls
  • Leaving the car with us? We coordinate the rental, and buses and the light rail run back north if you need them
  • Not drivable? Towing intake runs around the clock, from the waterfront to the top of the cliff

Free parking on site while the estimate is written. A scrape that has gone through to bare metal is worth bringing in before winter — salt gets into it, and the same repair turns into rust work. Photos are enough for the first written price, the same business day.

What West New York does to cars

Tight parking, steep streets.

About a square mile, most of it on top of the Palisades, with little off-street parking around Bergenline Avenue and steep roads down to the waterfront. Most of what that does to a car happens at walking speed.

Bumper corners

Parallel parking by feel puts the scuffs on the bumper corners — exactly where the parking sensors sit. Most scuffed or cracked covers can be repaired rather than replaced: plastic welding, rebuilt mounting tabs and paint from $450, usually two to three days, with the sensors checked and recalibrated in-house when they need it.

Boulevard East and the cliff roads

Curbs along Boulevard East and the steep roads down to the waterfront are hard on wheels — rash on the face, and now and then a lip bent far enough to lose air. Curb rash is refinished for $150 to $350 a wheel and a bent rim straightened for $150 to $300. A crack in a load-bearing spot means a new wheel, and we say so.

Mirrors on narrow streets

Buses and delivery trucks squeezing past a row of parked cars take mirrors with them. A modern mirror can hold a turn signal, a blind-spot light, a heater and sometimes a camera, so a replacement means the right part by VIN, painted to match, and the camera calibrated if the car has one.

Insurance

The insurer can suggest, you choose the shop.

An insurer can recommend a shop; it cannot require one, and the address on your policy does not limit where the car is repaired. If you were told the claim only works at a particular facility, that is steering — you are free to bring the car to Jersey City.

  • We work with every major carrier and write the estimate the way adjusters expect it
  • When teardown finds damage the photos could not show, we document it and file the supplement ourselves
  • You pay your deductible, and nothing more unless you approve it in writing
  • Rental car and towing coordinated from our front desk

Three languages at the counter

The estimate explained in Spanish, line by line.

Much of West New York speaks Spanish at home, so here the estimate is explained in Spanish, the claim is followed up in Spanish, and the site — the photo-estimate form included — is published in Spanish. English and Russian at the same counter.

West New York questions

Asked from Boulevard East to Bergenline

Towing, whether the trip pays off, insurance, timing and wheels.

Can you arrange a tow from West New York?
Yes — towing intake runs around the clock, whether the car is on Boulevard East, on a side street off Bergenline or down on the waterfront. Call before arranging anything yourself: a tow straight to the shop that will repair it saves a storage yard and a second tow bill.
Is the trip from West New York worth it for a small repair?
Find out before you go: 4–8 photos get you a written price the same business day, free, from a real estimator. For a small scuff a closer shop may make more sense, and we will say so. For wheels, a bumper with sensors in it or anything on a claim, one shop doing the whole job usually means less running around than two.
Can I bring a West New York insurance claim to a shop in Jersey City?
Yes. In New Jersey the owner chooses the repair shop: the insurer can recommend one, not require it, and the town on your policy does not change that. We work with every major carrier, file the supplement when teardown finds more, and bill the carrier directly; you pay your deductible.
How long will my car be in Jersey City?
Paintless dents same day to two days; a bumper two to three days; a panel with paint three to seven; structural work one to three weeks. Powder-coated wheels can be back in as little as 24 hours. Parts and the insurer's supplement approval are what stretch a job, and we tell you which one is in play.
I curbed a wheel on Boulevard East. Refinish, straighten or replace?
That depends on what the curb did. Rash on the face is refinished for $150 to $350 a wheel; a bent rim is straightened for $150 to $300, or $250 to $500 with the refinish. A crack is welded only where it is safe ($200 to $400) — in a load-bearing spot the wheel is replaced, from $250. Powder coating is $200 a wheel with tire work and balancing included, $800 for a set of four.
